1,000 Local CTOs: Building the Bespoke Economy

Ten days ago, Forbes published an article titled "Future-Proof Your Career In 2026 As Meta Cuts Another 700 Jobs." It detailed how Meta slashed 700 more jobs across its operations, while simultaneously offering executives up to $1 billion in stock incentives.

The justification? Mark Zuckerberg was quoted saying that what used to take a large team is now being done "single-handedly with just one AI-powered employee."

The corporate message is loud and clear: The Junior Dev is dead. The entry-level white-collar job is dead. Companies are using black-box AI to hollow out the middle class of the tech industry, turning what used to be teams of developers into single operators to maximize executive payouts.

The Forbes article ended with a warning from corporate America: “Not on board with AI? Step aside.”

To survive this new era and beg to keep your job, the article listed the "skills that matter most in the AI era right now":

  • Critical thinking
  • Creative problem solving
  • Innovation
  • Systems thinking
  • General AI fluency
  • Applied AI and workflow development/integration (role-specific)

Look closely at that list. Read it again.

Those are not the skills of an obedient corporate employee. Those are the exact skills of a Tech Founder.

So, my advice to developers, students, and engineers facing this corporate landscape isn't to "step aside."

It is to step outside.

The Elysium Model vs. The Star Trek Vision

What we are witnessing right now is the "Elysium" model of AI. Corporations are deploying autonomous "Androids"—black-box AI systems like Claude Code or Cursor—designed to replace humans, cut costs, and consolidate wealth at the top. We literally just saw Anthropic accidentally leak 500,000 lines of source code revealing AI sub-agents "dreaming" at night and going "undercover" to pretend to be human on public repositories.

They are building replacements.

At Priset, we are building something entirely different: a Star Trek vision of the future. We don’t build Androids; we build Power Armor. We believe that AI shouldn’t replace human creativity—it should multiply it by 100x.

If Mark Zuckerberg is right—that one human with AI can now do the work of an entire team—then why are you using that leverage to build a billionaire's Metaverse? Why aren't you using it to build your own business?

Enter the Bespoke Economy

We are entering the era of the Bespoke Economy.

Because software development has historically been so expensive, only massive corporations or heavily funded startups could afford custom tech. Local businesses—the regional logistics company, the neighborhood medical clinic, the mid-sized accounting firm—have been forced to use clunky, one-size-fits-all SaaS products that barely fit their needs.

That barrier to entry just collapsed.

With Priset operating inside your IDE, you aren't just a developer anymore. You are the Architect, and Priset is your Vanguard.

  • Need to migrate a 15-year-old legacy WCF system to .NET 9? Priset can do it in 12 minutes.
  • Need to build a HIPAA-compliant medical scheduling app? What used to take a 5-person agency 7 months, a single developer using Priset recently completed in 3 days.

You don't need a massive team. You just need a Glass Box AI harness that gives you full visibility, automated testing, and zero-retention IP protection so you actually own what you build.

The 1,000 Local CTOs

Our mission at Priset isn't to help Meta lay off more workers. Our mission is to mint 1,000 Local CTOs.

We want to empower 1,000 independent developers, student founders, and tech veterans to step outside the corporate rat race and become the technology partners for their local communities.

Instead of fighting 5,000 other applicants for a shrinking pool of "AI-assisted junior" roles at a FAANG company, you can walk into a local mid-sized business, identify a massive operational bottleneck, and use Priset to build them a bespoke, enterprise-grade software solution over the weekend.

You charge them $2,000 a month for a license. You do that for 10 local businesses. You have just created your own $240k/year micro-agency, entirely powered by you and your Power Armor.

The Tools are Ready. Are You?

Forbes is right about one thing: the era of doing the bare minimum is over. But their conclusion is backward. You shouldn't learn "systems thinking" and "creative problem solving" just to make yourself an attractive AI-wrapper for a massive corporation's bottom line.

You should learn them to become the Architect of your own empire.

If you're a student watching the tech job market evaporate, we built the Student Plan ($10/year + BYO Gemini Key) specifically for you. We want you to start building the Bespoke Economy today.

If you're an enterprise veteran exhausted by the black-box AI slot machine, grab a Pro Plan, switch on Architect Mode, and experience what transparent, human-led 100x velocity actually feels like.

They told you to step aside. We are telling you to step outside.

Let's build.
