Which AI Core Should I Use?

Priset operates on a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) architecture. We provide the Glass Box orchestration harness, and you plug in the AI engine that fits your specific architectural and security needs.

By decoupling the engine from the chassis, you have absolute control over which frontier model executes your Implementation Blueprints without paying any proprietary token markups.

You can select your active AI core from the Model dropdown in the Priset interface. If you are still using legacy plans, you will have a section listing Priset model types (as shown below).

Hot-Swapping Cores

You can switch your AI model mid-session. The new model setting will be applied in the next iteration. This allows you to use a heavy model for deep architectural planning, and a faster model for simple incremental edits.

Because the Priset harness organizes the context and eliminates the "noise," you aren't forced to use the most expensive model for every task. You can make a strategic choice based on your project's capabilities and IP security requirements:

1. Google Gemini (The Enterprise Vault)​

  • Best for: Enterprise proprietary logic, government contracts, dynamic pricing systems, and strict corporate firewalls.
  • Why choose it: Standard web AI interfaces are an IP liability. Google's Gemini API offers absolute enterprise-grade encryption and a strict zero-retention policy (they never train on your data). If you are processing highly sensitive business logic, Gemini BYOK is your mandatory compliance path. It is also exceptionally fast for rapid, incremental edits.

2. Anthropic Claude (The Vanguard)​

  • Best for: Raw logic, rapid prototyping, whole-codebase refactoring, and weekend micro-SaaS builds.
  • Why choose it: Claude (specifically the Sonnet and Opus tiers) currently offers unmatched raw coding capabilities and nuanced reasoning. When you are acting as a Local CTO building a massive application skeleton from scratch, Claude's ability to execute complex Implementation Blueprints is market-leading.

3. OpenAI ChatGPT (The Industry Standard)​

  • Best for: General versatility and teams deeply embedded in the OpenAI ecosystem.
  • Why choose it: The proven, reliable powerhouse. If your team already has OpenAI API keys provisioned or requires highly versatile reasoning across massive general knowledge bases, ChatGPT is a flawless engine to power the Priset harness.
Zero Token Markups

Because you are using your own API keys, Priset does not charge you for "credits." You pay your flat SaaS subscription for the Priset Harness, and you pay for your exact token usage directly to Google, Anthropic, or OpenAI at their base developer rates.

The Rule of Thumb

If you are building an application skeleton or doing complex whole-file refactoring, start with Claude or ChatGPT. However, our own experience shows that Gemini Flash family of models can successfully perform 90% of standard tasks, but for a fraction of the price.

Nevertheless, the moment your task involves proprietary enterprise data, hardcoded sensitive logic, or strict compliance requirements, swap to Gemini to ensure your codebase is never exposed to model training pipelines.
