Which Model Should I Use?

You can select which AI model to use by selecting between the Junior Developer, Developer and Expert Developer options in the Model dropdown (as shown below). You can even make this switch during the prompt execution and the model setting will be applied in the next iteration.

Priset mode dropdown
pro tip

You can switch the mode / model during the prompt processing and the model setting will be applied in the next iteration.

The difference between these modes is in the strength of the AI model behind them and consequently the cost of their use. Needless to say that the Expert Developer will be the fastest to consume your credit. On the other hand, Junior Developer might be able to do the simple tasks well, but would need more iterations to finish the complex ones. This might end up to be more expensive than using the Developer or Expert Developer in the first place.

info

The default mode is Developer, which is good enough for general tasks.

Which mode to use will depend on the complexity of the task you want Priset to perform. If the task is simpler you can use Junior Developer or Developer. If the change is complex you might want to switch to Expert Developer. You would need to experiment and see which setting will work the best for your particular application / solution.

If you are starting afresh and want Priset to build the whole new application for you, we recommend using Expert Developer to build the application skeleton. Then you can start experimenting using Developer or Junior Developer for simpler tasks.

Enterprise users have access to more granular model control (per user / team) through the Admin Console.

the rule of thumb

We don't know your solution / application and how complex it is. You might as well be able to use Developer (i.e. the default setting) for all your complex and medium complexity tasks and use Junior Developer for the simple ones. We don't know. Your guess would be the best. So, you would need to experiment and see which mode will work the best for your particular application / solution.
